Summary

Research leader with 10 years of experience directing research for enterprise B2B, digital learning products, AI-enabled workflows, and practitioner-facing tools. Built a departmental UX research practice as the sole researcher, turning scattered learner data into personas, journey maps, module-level feedback loops, research repositories, dashboard systems, and repeatable processes used by designers. Led an engagement analysis of 1,137 users to shift organizational measurement from simple completion tracking to stronger signals around interaction quality and knowledge behavior. Drove research-backed changes to search functionality, asset tagging, content curation, and AI-assisted learning workflows across product enablement teams.

Experience

Senior User Experience Researcher · Cisco

2023–present · Bloomington, Indiana (remote)

  • Built the department's UX research practice as the sole researcher, creating learner personas, jobs-to-be-done overlays, journey maps for 3 product areas, module-level feedback loops, a research repository, and a process used by all 3 designers.
  • Directed Meraki demo-platform research through 15 interviews with field SEs, partner sellers, and internal Cisco users, plus a 201-response survey that moved dCloud teams to revise demo tags, remove outdated demos, improve search, and adjust content curation.
  • Owned digital learning analytics after a data analyst vacancy, reducing data prep from 2–3 hours to ~30 minutes and filtering ~1,000 weekly survey comments into ~25 actionable issues.
  • Led Digital Learning Strategy research with Cisco IQ stakeholders, audience composition analysis, and a custom comparison of 1,137 learners that showed existing metrics captured compliance rather than learning.
  • Created AI-assisted research workflows across Python, Tableau, and Qualtrics, including feedback categorization, dashboard summaries, urgent-issue notifications, and a cross-Cisco Lunch and Learn on AI in UX research.
  • Steered the Content Insights Workstream with department leadership, a designer, and an engineer, setting annual priorities, shipping an insights dashboard, expanding feedback loops, and revising core engagement metrics across product areas.
  • Ran Cisco Live 2025 research with 45 customer and partner interviews and 64 survey responses, examining how enterprise practitioners use AI in professional learning workflows.

2016–2023 · Bloomington, Indiana

  • Directed 20+ digital learning product studies, producing 60+ reports, briefs, and presentations for product teams.
